10 Days of Drop Off Outfits: 2020 Edition

Are we ready?!

2020 may be totally wack but that doesn't mean we shouldn't rock one of the all time most popular annual posts on Olive and Tate, right?

Welcome to 5 Days of Drop Off Outfits: 2020 Edition

Here's what to expect this year:

Many of us are not actually doing the school drop off thing. No sweat, this year's round up of outfits is meant for home or away.
As always, every single item is wildly comfortable. Many items can hold court as either pajamas or out-of-the-house clothes. Where you wear 'em is up to you!
This year, every item is from Amazon. No shopping in store, no mixing retailers, no waiting more than one total second for deliveries.
There will be video try-ons in my Instagram stories! Check the highlight called "Amazon Fall"
I shot these looks in our temporary apartment with weird light and a mirror propped up on a chair. Try not to be overly impressed with the quality I'm producing around here.

My stats:
5'9", 8-10, 30 in denim, large in tops for bust and length, DD, large in dresses for length

The pieces we're working with:

As a member of Amazon Affiliates, this blog receives a small commission on purchases made via the links on this post.

4 tees/tanks, 5 sweaters/sweatshirts/open front cardigans, 1 dress, 4 bottoms, 4 coats, 3 pairs of shoes, 1 set of bracelets, 1 necklace, 1 pair of earrings.

In total, I made 25 outfits before I gave up. The possibilities are endless. My goal was to choose neutral, easy, comfortable, budget friendly pieces that could be mixed and matched endlessly. Having a closet that you can "shop" without any stress is truly the ultimate goal, especially when the mornings tend to be about getting everyone else ready and out the door (or on the Zoom).

Each item is listed with links, sizing, thoughts and feelings below!

Joggers: wearing: size L, black
Holy man, do I love these joggers. They feel like silk! I managed to pull together 5 outfits with the joggers and honestly didn't want to take them off. As a heads up, they sit right under your belly button with a bit of a harem style waist. If you pull them up too high, you will absolutely get a camel toe. Just trust me. The length is perfect, right at the ankle, but the fit is really versatile, you can scrunch them up a bit for a shorter leg.

Denim Jacket : wearing size L, medium wash

Fits true to size, is a wardrobe staple for me.

Waffle Long Sleeve Tee: wearing size L, white

the description says "loose fitting" which I don't agree with, if you want a loose fit size up. Despite it not being loose, I loved the fit. The length is great and the v neck isn't so low that it's scandalous.

Low Top Sneakers: run TTS
Sunglasses | Bracelets | Earrings

Field Jacket: wearing size L, washed dark green
This field jacket is a huge win for me. The length, the adjustable fit at the waist and the weight of it make for a perfect combo.

Sweatshirt: wearing size L, khaki
Ok, but it feels like suede! I have never loved a sweatshirt more. The length is on the longer side, although I wouldn't call it a tunic like the listing, the fit is a tiny bit boxy and the quality is perfect.

Joggers | Sneakers

Knit Crewneck Sweater: wearing L, in oatmeal heather
I actually think this sweater is better in person than in the listing photo! It's the ideal weight - not too heavy, not too thick of a knit, not too chunky. It will pair well with shorts now and denim later and the color options are gorgeous.

Mules: wearing size 9, heads up these are narrow sizes!
I think these mules run small and super narrow. I would size up 1 size and if you aren't a true narrow, you won't be able to squeeze your foot in, trust me. I order this pair of mules last year and love them!

joggers | denim jacket

Camel Blazer: wearing size L, camel
I found this blazer to be tight fitting across my shoulders and back, I need to size up one to an XL. The quality of this blazer really impressed me. The details are very high end, like the tortoise print buttons and stand-up notch collar. I truly think it's a staple piece and I can't wait to get the correct size.

Lace Tank: wearing M (need a large), white
If you're busty, size for your bust in this tank - if not, its TTS. Another piece that surprised me in terms of quality! The lace on neckline is gorgeous, really well made and not a fray in sight. It is lined so the white is not see through i I'm wearing a white bra in these pics so it would absolutely show through if not lined.

mules | joggers

Sweatshirt Dress: wearing L, in color medium grey
This dress is adorable. It has great little details like rolled (short) sleeves and the cross front neckline. It does have a sweatshirt style weight to it which keeps it from creating the belly button cave, praise be. I particularly love the length and the softness of the fabric.

Jacket | Sneakers

Dark Wash Jeans: wearing size 30 in Pure Indigo
Ok, jeans are scary right now and I get that. But, if you're in the market for insanely flattering jeans on a budget, this is the pair for you. I do want to make it super clear that there is no stretch to these - they need a bit of wear to settle - but the rise is a great high rise and the length hits just right.

White Short Sleeve Tee: wearing L in white
White tees that fit well tend to be very illusive for me. I am happy to report that I *love* the fit of this one! The notched v neck is super flattering, the length is just right (it can be knotted!) and the weight of the material is perfect.

Slippers: TTS and super comfy, available in a ton of colors. I'm wearing size Large, pink

Open Front Fuzzy Cardigan: wearing size L, beige
I'm surprised to see that this color is called "beige" when it is truly a super light shade of grey. It reminds me so much of a blanket, super warm and nubby and loose and won't demand anything of you. This is by far the best "work -live- play -teach" at home piece in the entire line up!

Tee | Jeans | Sneakers | Sunglasses

Open Front Grey Cardigan: wearing L, in soft heather grey
The most traditional of the sweaters in the round up, this light grey open front cardigan is so soft and delicate. The material is beautiful and is very light weight. This would be perfect for those of you back in the work place (hey, teachers, we love you!) who are always chilly!

Jeans | tee | mules | bracelets

Pull On Black Knit Jegging: wearing size L, Black

oooooh man, we're a long way from jeans now! This pair of pull on knit black pants is the jam. So soft, has the appearance of the pant but with an elastic waist, no button, no zipper, faux front pockets and real back pockets. They are so slimming and so comfy. They pair with literally anything, I cannot recommend them enough. This is actually my second pair because why not!?

Star Tee: accidentally wearing size XL, no need to size up, in white scattered star print
A cute little tee with higher end details, I'd really love to get my hands on the white mini stripe print! I do think the stars are really fun when paired with the basics of this little capsule wardrobe, and I like the price point. The fit is boxy with a banded waist and a looser sleeve.

Field Jacket | Sneakers

Maybe my fave look of the entire post!

Grey crewneck sweater: wearing size L in charcoal heather
I never know what to expect when ordering sweaters from Amazon, but this crewneck feels like a J Crew sweater! The fit is just right, hitting right a the waistline of the jeggings and not too boxy. It comes in a ton of great colors and is less than $25.

Camel Blazer | Knit Jeggings | Mules | Sunglasses | Earrings

Scalloped Leggings: wearing size L, navy
The scalloped leggings are a slam dunk! High rise, stay in place during a workout, some compression at the tummy and the sweetest little scalloped detail on the ankle and at the waist band. I can't wait for the black to be restocked!

Teddy Bear Coat: wearing size L, in dark camel
It feels fitting to end with the teddy bear coat which is, in all reality, a bathrobe dressed up for out of the house wear. This coat truly says "I want to be comfortable and I'm prob not wearing undies under here" and I am here for those vibes.
