Like keeping your closet small? These brands are exactly what you've been needing to know about! Their minimalistic design and versatility will surely keep your closet to a minimum while feeling as if you have a lot to work with.
Encircled
The functionality & minimalistic design of Encircled garments make this brand one of the best for minimalist closets. Most of their garments can be worn more than one way. That means more versatility in a smaller closet. Not only are their clothes comfortable to wear, they are great for packing. You don't have to worry about wrinkling, and they don't take up too much space so you can pack light. Their choice of fabrics make garments last longer, too.
everlane
To be honest, I haven’t worn anything from this brand until very recently. I like to keep everything on my blog genuine, so knowing the product is super important. I decided to order a pair of jeans because I’m in need and the price was super reasonable. I think their line has every design to build the perfect capsule wardrobe - & the jeans have been pretty wonderful!
the parallel connection
Leggings for everyday and every occasion!

The Parallel Connection uses recycled poly to create their line of leggings and pants, and all are printed in Virginia & sewn in NYC. Plus, a portion of sales are donated to understood.org, an organization supporting learning disability awareness and giving parents the tools the need to help their children thrive.
kestan
Understated luxury at accessible prices, this conscious line is perfect for the modern woman. like it when a piece of clothing can be beautiful and useful at the same time. In the past, I used to buy things based solely off aesthetic. I wouldn’t care if it was completely impractical, as long as it looked good. With Kestan, you can have the best of both worlds - a sophisticated, timeless design that functions for a busy modern woman. Many of their pieces come with pockets, are quite versatile and easy to transition from season to season.
made trade
This online sustainable shop is home to several wonderful brands - and they have things for men, too! I just love how the website is so clean and inviting. Not only can you find great pieces for your closet, you can find a few staples to decorate your home. Made Trade makes sure each product covers one {or more} of these values - Sustainable, Fair Trade, Heritage, USA Made & Vegan. Each value has a little symbol that is placed right next to the product so you know exactly what category it falls under.
left edit
This collection can be worn so many ways, and it always feels fresh! Left Edit makes every piece from their collection in LA at responsible factories paying fair wages in safe working conditions. Plus, the design studio and production sewing space is women-led, and they focus on working with conscious brands in the industry.
la fille colette
I think for most of us, we prefer to keep our closets small. This means, we need versatility in our garments. With La Fille Colette’s new Portmanteau Jacket, you are able to easily pair it with jeans & flats or a cocktail dress & heels! The entire line is designed by Colette Chrétien, and fairly made in Massachusetts by skilled workers under safe conditions. Besides making everything state side, fabric scraps are recycled and all designs are made in small batches to help avoid waste.
KEMP GADEGÅRD
In a small studio in Berlin, KEMP GADEGÅRD is combining nordic style and natural textiles to create a timeless, ethical womenswear label. All pieces are made to last and responsibly produced in Spain. The forefront of their philosophy consists of three things: (1) Aesthetics, (2) Comfort & (3) Attention to detail - and I can attest to each one of these! Their fabrics are incredibly well chosen, and the quality is impeccable. I'm comfortable, and I feel great knowing their clothing has so much thought behind its creation.
Eco Vibe
A boutique & online shop, EcoVibe Apparel is a lovely space full of sustainable & trendy clothing {like the kind you wish your closet was made out of}. Their brick-and-mortar is based in my favorite US city, Portland, Oregon, and - good news for the rest of us - their online store ships worldwide. They carry several brands within the shops, one of them being their own private line made right here in the USA and ethically imported abroad. This private label is great for basics and staple pieces!
kotn
I’ve already been making a list of items I want to try from Kotn. Their designs are timeless and made from some of the best cotton around - sustainable Egyptian cotton! They believe in fair and equal pay, careers not jobs, and, of course, safe working conditions. They even give back to children in the The Nile Delta. With every purchase, your orders help fund the build-out and operations of school infrastructure, salaries for teachers, laptops and so much more.

pact
Probably one of the most affordable organic brands, Pact has you covered on any basic piece you can think of. I love their lace undies and bras, and Travis has a ton of their tees. Everything washes well, and stays nice & soft. I’m constantly looking at this brand online to see what new basics they come out with!

Sustain
Have you ever thought about the amount of chemicals the average t-shirt holds? From the pesticide-treated cotton to toxic azo-dyes for color, it seems as if every step of the way a new chemical is added into the mix. What we wear on our body, ends up in our body so why aren't we taking the necessary precautions when it comes to our clothes? Better yet, why not choose clothing that is actually beneficial to our body? With Sustain, you can! Sustain is made for everyday  - from work to home to dinner out.
neu nomads
I recently have been turned on to this brand, and own two of their pieces. The quality in their fabric and construction is wonderful. Neu Nomads specialize in sustainable womenswear made from plant based fabrics and clean days. Their line is great for traveling, and full of timeless basics. & this pink… LOVE it <3
Tribe Alive
A platform dedicated to women empowerment, Tribe Alive is a lifestyle brand helping raise women out of poverty all over the globe through gorgeous handmade clothing, jewelry, handbags, accessories and home goods. They have partnered with talented artisans in Guatemala, Haiti, India, Honduras, and Fort Worth, Texas, and provide each worker with fair-trade wages, a  safe working environment and the power to choose their own future.
able
I own a couple bags from this beautiful brand, but have been really wanting to try out some of their clothing. A few things are on my wish list, and I hope to add some pieces to my closet soon. FashionABLE believes in order to end poverty we must provide jobs for those lacking opportunity, particularly for women.
