Hello! This week flew by and I can’t believe we’re halfway through May already! The kids are finally winding down for the school year which means the juggle of homeschooling and remote work is finally getting better. So much appreciation to all the teachers out there cause I’ve realized that my patience runs out at about noon time with my kids, and we’ve just basically been doing real-life “Home Ec” class come the afternoons! 
These days I am all about the comfy outfits as I work from home and joggers have been an everyday go-to. For me, joggers are an elevated 2.0 version of sweatpants and 100% more versatile as you can even dress them up for more than just loungewear! I’m sharing a few tips on what to look for when buying joggers (including my 2 product picks if you’re petite like me!) plus tips on how to make jogger outfits look chic even put together. Trust me, you might just never wanna go back to jeans again after quarantine is over!
TIP #1: Look For Joggers Made of Performance Material

One of the main differences between joggers and sweatpants is the fabric. Sweatpants are usually made from a heavier cotton material and cut to fit on the loose and baggy side. Sweatpants are definitely winners when it comes to comfort, but don’t do much when it comes to flattering your figure. Joggers, on the other hand, are quite a different story! Joggers are cut to have a tapered leg that just create a much more tailored look. When it comes to fabrics, joggers also come in much lighter materials such as polyester or nylon and even performance blends that really take the look up a few notches!
When I was first searching for joggers, I put in an order for no less than 5 different jogger styles from Nordstrom… And while it was a little discouraging at first when literally nothing was fitting me correctly, I literally did a double take after putting on this pair from Vuori. The slightly cropped leg fit perfectly in length even for my short legs and the fabric is a lightweight, moisture-wicking material that just feels so soft and cooling on the skin. I also love the contrasting white drawstring as I feel it really helps just tie the whole look together with the tee and sneakers!
TIP #2: Find Joggers With An Elasticized Cuffed Leg

My all-time favorite pair of joggers is the Lululemon Align Joggers. I’ve always been a huge Lulu addict and while I usually live in the Lululemon Align leggings, I figure I would give these joggers a try. Omg, these couldn’t fit more perfectly. The multiple inseam length options at 23″ and 28″ make it perfect for those of us with short legs plus the Nulu fabric is sleek and feels like absolute butter. I did size up once from my usual Lululemon size and I love the slightly relaxed fit that hits the balance just right when it comes to not being too tight or too baggy.
Having an elasticized cuffed ankle is also so important when it comes to finding a pair of joggers that flatters your lower half. Showing a peek of ankle is ideal when it comes to creating that visual illusion of longer legs, plus it makes dressing up your joggers so easy as you can show off those cute shoes!

In my opinion, when it comes to pairing any top with a pair of joggers, a front tuck is a must. Otherwise, it’s too easy to look like a shapeless blog in oversized clothes and well, it’s not cute. Thankfully, a simple front tuck is all it takes to change that vibe. In most cases, I just tuck in a few inches of the front of my top into the joggers and roll under the rest as it loops around towards my back.
