My love of flattering, green maxi dresses began when I was pregnant with Adeline – not only is my favourite colour green but chasing after 2 toddlers with a baby bump was hard enough without my pants or shirt were cutting into my waist

I’m sure you know the feeling!

Check out my favourite postpartum at-home exercise programs, from the first time you work out after giving birth to upping your overall strength!

If I’m honest my maternity clothes from my first pregnancy didn’t fit quite the same in my third pregnancy – my clothes were more worn, my bump showed quicker and was bigger than the first time. And losing the baby weight is harder and harder each time.

I’m less about impulsive buys with my clothes because my body fluctuates between pregnancy and postpartum and working out each year. I could burn through a lot of cash buying clothes for each stage of motherhood but I’m more frugal than that – and Matt would lose his mind if I tried!

So when I saw this cut out green maxi dress (I am obsessed with this green maxi dress too, both from AE) I knew I needed it in all 3 colours (olive green, black, and navy motif).

The back is gathered to create a semi formfitting bodice and then the layered skirt floats around your body. The small cutout under the bust is adventurous (for me! Maybe this dress seems a bit tame to others) but can be covered/disguised with a simple camisole if you choose the black dress.

I am 5′ 9″ tall and this dress’ length hits right above my ankles. I like that the shape of this dress is not overwhelming – I have a few dresses in my closet where the fabric is heavy and doesn’t hang well and they are my “baggy sweat pant” dresses for when I get up in the morning. They never leave the house! They make me feel like a blob.

Anywyas, back to this dress – I received so many compliments on this maxi dress and I highly recommend the green maxi dress for all the redheads out there (you know how green looks amazing on redheads!).
Do you find it difficult to dress yourself when your body changes or weight fluctuates? How do you deal with it?
