During quarantine, it can be difficult to motivate ourselves to do anything other than sit in front of the TV and binge-watch our favorite shows.
This time of our lives has been unprecedented and many of us have never experienced staying at home for so long without working or seeing our friends. It can be difficult to look after ourselves during this difficult time, but now is the ideal opportunity for us to practice much-needed self-care.
Today we want to discuss important things you can do during isolation such as cleaning out direct debits you no longer need, sorting out your cupboards, and even hiring a lawyer for wage theft or other legal issues you may have been putting off until now.
GET 40 WINKS
The first thing that you need to do to really make the most of this quarantine period, is to look after your body and allow it to sleep. It is all too common for many of us not to get enough sleep every night and this can have adverse effects on every part of our lives. While you have the time, get some sleep!
EXERCISE EVERY DAY
Exercise is something that will either be a gift or a curse. Some of us love to exercise and some of us hate it, there is no in-between. However, it is important to understand the impact exercise can have on our body and why it is important to exercise every single day for at least 30 minutes. This could either be a walk outside, a home workout such as PE with Joe, or even yoga. If you have been putting off getting fit for a long time now, this is the ideal chance to make a positive change in your life.
PAMPER YOURSELF
Now that you have time on your hands you should make the most of your face masks and other beauty items lying in the cupboard! Come up with your own pamper routine and do this once a week to refresh yourself and make yourself feel happier.
EAT HEALTHY AND HEARTY MEALS
Quarantine shopping is stressful. Whether you are trying to get yourself a delivery slot or braving the shops yourself it can be hard to get the things you need during this time. When you plan your food shop try to pick meals that are good in big batches as well as ones that will fill you up and give you some much-needed nutrition. A hearty chilli con carne will fill the freezer and will also provide you with lots of protein and fiber. Try to keep meals simple but healthy for your own good.
CLEAN OUT YOUR WARDROBE
Now and again our wardrobes all need a bit of a clear out, and it is important for us to clear them out thoroughly to get rid of clothes we no longer wear or need. Now that you have lots of free time, it is the perfect opportunity for you to clear out your wardrobe to make room for all those new impulse purchases.
