My youngest is quickly approaching his first birthday—which means he's still in the “I want to stick everything in my mouth" stage, but is also very eager to learn new things (potayto/potahto?). One thing I'm learning this second time around is that babies really don't need a lot of toys to stimulate them. My little guy is much more interested in an empty cardboard box than, say, a new toy with all the bells and whistles.
