Hello team! We hope you are having a great weekend. We’ve had a very busy week adding lots of new patterns to the website. Some seriously gorgeous patterns were released, so just scroll down to get inspired and pick you favourites!

If you want to know more about our personal favourites, you can check out our August Sewing Pattern Releases video on the blog!

Go forth, and be inspired!

Erica who blogs at Erica Bunker made this stunning McCall’s 7974 dress in a yellow textured crepe! SO DREAMY!

What a gorgeous smile! Jasika aka Try Curious Blog must be over the moon with her jumpsuit which she created by hacking a few different patterns together!

A classic animal print never gets old! It’s actually a faux suede cheetah fabric and Sara of The Sara Project used it to create a Dani Pinafore Dress by Seamwork. Perfect for fall!

Nicole at Merritts Makes hacked the recently released Threadbear Garments Frisco Jumpsuit into trousers and they look amazing! Isn’t it fun how she paired it with another stripey top that has a different colour combination!

Simple, yet stylish and elegant! This little black dress is Simplicity 8292 and it suits Manju of SewManju so well, we think she’ll get a lot of wear out of it!

Melissa aka Fehr Trade stitched this Paper Theory Zadie Jumpsuit at the Sewing Weekender last weekend. Having seen this at first hand, we can confirm that Melissa is a stitching pro and she looked amazing in her new outfit!

We often look at those Nani Iro fabrics with a border print dreaming up a project like this! Then Emi, who is a guest blogger over at Hey June, went and stitched this amazing Salzburg jacket by Sew News. We are in LOVE!

Katie aka Katie Kortman aka the colour blocking queen has been at it again! These are the most bright and brilliant Helen’s Closet Yanta Overalls we ever did see and we’re here for it!

Sam @Purplesewingcloud made the brand spanking new Tilly and the Buttons pattern; the Indigo dress and she’s looking FAB! That cute exposed frilly seam is everything!

Now this is a dress we want to copy! It’s the Cielo dress and it’s designed by Closet Case Patterns, and stitched by @debthack. She left a pattern review on our website and she named it the best shift dress ever!

Take a look at all the new fabrics, haberdashery and kits from sewing businesses this week…

We’re eyeing up some of the new jersey knits over at Sew Me Sunshine. These cable knits look so cosy and soft! We’re thinking jumpers, cardigans, coatigans, basically everything we need to get us through the upcoming colder months..

This navy striped luxurious crepe is perfect for trousers and culottes. We spotted it at Lulou Designs and those mustard stripes are simply delicious.

Hands up if you can’t get enough of lemon prints! Sew Over It has got THE COOLEST one in stock at the moment! We love the black and yellow combination and it will be be perfect for transitioning into fall.

Aren’t the colours of this cotton sateen absolutely beautiful together? It's from Fabric Godmother and we are totally obsessed!

Did you see SewHayleyJane's updated website? Apart from shipping to the UK, USA and Canada, she now also ships to all of Europe, Australia and New Zealand! Sign up now if you want in on the fun and receive next months surprise box!

Linen continues to grow in its popularity and we can see why when they’re as special as this one.. This navy blue linen with a fine stripe from Cloth Spot is making us weak at the knees!

Cloth Candy is really the place to look if you are on the hunt for organic cottons! Their colourful and fun prints are just ah-mah-zing!!

It doesn’t matter if you’re into sewing your own clothes, refashioning or thrifting, this pin from Pink Coat Club is perfect for all fashion lovers alike.

This coral satin cotton blend from Loom & Stars is DIVINE! It has a border of diagonal hand-dyed lines which covers about one-third of the width of the fabric. Imagine this on the bottom of a skirt or dress!

We started to look for a jacket that will transition well from summer into fall and we came across this pattern. It is New Look 6351 from Sew Direct and we thought it’s perfect because not only does it include the jacket, it also includes these drawstring trousers and a jersey top pattern!

If you are thinking of combining two African wax prints together Urbanstax is making it super easy for you! They've listed lots of fabulous fabric combinations on their website. Be sure to check it out because we find this so inspiring!

We’re totally into all of the recent Lady McEllroy designs. And Lamazi Fabrics is stocking such a wide range we find it hard to choose a favourite!

The name of this cotton we like is Afternoon Stroll and it could not be more apt. We can just imagine all those little people going for a walk on a nice sunny day, and they’re all looking pretty fabulous doing it! Check it out over at Fabrics Galore.

A classic black and white houndstooth NEVER gets old! We spotted a Robert Kaufman flannel at The Draper's Daughter and we are actually looking forward to colder months now..

We keep a handy list of sewing events, exhibitions and meet ups happening in the sewing community all over the world on our sewing social calendar here.

Come and join our sewing Facebook group where we are chatting about sewing plans, new patterns and helping each other out with projects.
